1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Payd – Paycheck Planner mobile application ("Payd", "the app") and the paydplanner.com website. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. For purchases made through the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies.
2. What Payd is — and isn't
Payd is a personal budgeting and planning tool. It helps you organize your pay schedule, bills, savings goals, and other financial information that you enter yourself. Payd is not a financial institution, does not hold or move money, does not connect to your bank, and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Projections, estimates, and calculators in the app and on this website are for planning purposes only and do not guarantee any outcome. Past performance of any investment does not guarantee future results.
3. Your data, your device
Your data is stored locally on your device, as described in full in our Privacy & Security White Paper. Because Payd has no server and no account system, you are responsible for safeguarding your own device and any backup files you export. If you encrypt a backup with a passcode and forget the passcode, the backup cannot be recovered — by you or by us.
4. Subscriptions
Payd offers an optional auto-renewing "Pro" subscription (weekly, monthly, or yearly), purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Where offered, free trials convert to a paid subscription unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and are managed and canceled through your App Store or Google Play account settings — not within Payd. Pricing is displayed in the app before any purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or resell the app; not to use the app in violation of applicable law; and not to attempt to interfere with the third-party services the app relies on (such as stock-quote providers or RevenueCat).
6. Third-party services
Optional features rely on third-party services — stock quotes (Yahoo Finance, Finnhub, Alpha Vantage) and subscription processing (RevenueCat). These services are governed by their own terms, may change or become unavailable, and are not guaranteed by Payd. Stock prices shown in the app may be delayed or inaccurate and must not be relied on for trading decisions.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Payd is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that calculations will be free of mistakes. Always verify important financial figures independently.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Payd and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or savings, arising from your use of the app or website. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
